What are the routes for leveling up?

The different routes for leveling up are linked to your choice of rates for your character.

The different character rates are:

  • Ascended.
  • Balanced.
  • Primordial.
  • Heroic.
  • Eternal.

For more information about rates, click on the Multi Rates System.

Advice

If you are a new player and have not yet claimed your welcome package, we recommend that you go over this section Welcome Package.

Rate x400: Ascended

This is the easiest route for leveling up. It is recommended to start here if you don't have a lot of free time, want to polish equipment for future characters, or plan to stay on this rate.

Levels 1 - 30: Prontera Field 08

Using the Warper in the "Leveling Spots" section will take you to Prontera Field 08. You will level up very quickly here, gaining enough damage to move on to the next spot.

Levels 30 - 99: Ant Hell 01 & Orc Dungeon 01

These are classic dungeons that provide excellent experience and are easy to clear. Ant Hell and Orc Dungeon have a high density of monsters; with good Area of Effect (AoE) skills, you can level up quickly until you rebirth, then follow the same route until you reach 3rd Job or Expanded 2nd Job.

Levels 100 - 150: Magma Dungeon 02

Magma Dungeon 02 is known for the large number of monsters you can mob together, making it one of the best places to level. You can comfortably stay here until level 150.

Alternative: Illusion Investigation Quests If you have trouble killing with AoE, you can opt to do the Illusion quests, which involve killing 100 monsters in their respective dungeons. To start these quests, go to the warp portal in Prontera (prontera,143,110) and speak with Commander Joel to unlock them.

Below is the information for each Illusion Dungeon quest, which are available in the Warper under Dungeons > Level 101-200 > Illusion Dungeon. (Please fill in the table below with the information from your image)

Levels 200 - 275: Hunting Gramps

The Hunting Gramps NPC is located in Omega City (omegacity,214,161) . This will be your best option to guarantee leveling up to 275. By using the EXP manuals from the Booster Pack and completing these quests, you will finish your leveling journey on this rate.

Rate x25: Balanced & Rate x1: Primordial

Choosing the Balanced (x25) rate will give you a small, permanent +20% Drop Rate bonus throughout your journey. It's excellent for starting on the server if you have a decent amount of dedicated time.

In contrast, the Primordial (x1) rate will grant you a permanent +50% Drop Rate bonus. If you have more time to invest in your character, this is the perfect middle ground for easier farming.

Levels 1 - 20: Prontera Field 08

Start by using the Warper (Leveling Spot > 1-25) to go to Prontera Field 08. The goal here is to gain enough damage for the next spot.

Levels 20 - 50: Ant Hell 01

Because its monsters are passive, Ant Hell is the best place to level up for any job class and provides a good amount of experience.

Levels 50 - 81: Orc Dungeon

After leveling in Ant Hell, you should be able to change jobs, making it easier to kill in Orc Dungeon. The high monster density makes it very convenient to level here until the next milestone.

Levels 81 - 200: Hunting Gramps

The monsters in these quests give a huge amount of experience. If you don't have strong AoE damage, you can kill monsters one by one and still gain a good amount of EXP. You can easily reach level 99 and rebirth here, or change to your next job if you are an expanded class.

Continue with the Gramps quests as a 3rd job, and you should reach at least level 140-150 per completion. The quest has a 4-hour cooldown. As your level increases, you will be sent to different areas with stronger monsters that give more experience.

Alternative Leveling Spots (100-200)

While waiting for the Gramps quest cooldown, you can use these other options:

  • Illusion Investigation Quests: Just like the x400 route, you can start these at Prontera (prontera,143,110)

by talking to Commander Joel. These are a great source of experience.

  • Magma Dungeon 3 (Levels 185-200): Another viable option is Magma Dungeon 3. Similar to its predecessor, it offers a large quantity of monsters and great EXP.

Levels 200 - 275: Hunting Gramps Quest

From this point on, Hunting Gramps quests are by far the best place to level up. During the cooldown periods, you can focus on:

  • Raising your VIP Level.
  • Farming Zeny with the Mining system.
  • Farming for equipment.
  • Completing episode quests to maximize your damage.

Rate x1 Hero Mode and Rate x0.5 Eternal Mode

Hero Mode is considered a challenge; it is not viable to start with this option. It has similarities with the Primordial Rate; however, its difference is obtaining items upon reaching max lvl, apart from having a level restriction to gain experience up to a difference of 10 levels above your current level.

Eternal Mode is a higher-level challenge. You will obtain half the experience that a mob normally gives; however, you will enjoy a permanent 200% drop rate that is stackable with drop increase buffs, in addition to other prizes including Cash Points. It is the pinnacle of difficulty in the leveling route. It is highly recommended to obtain specialized equipment according to levels for its leveling, since in this mode you have reduced damage towards mobs.

To make your leveling route more dynamic and less monotonous, you can opt to use the VIP System guide (append link to VIP system). Likewise, you level up your VIP and your character level in parallel, obtaining more benefits in Drop rate, Exp Rate, and Stats upon leveling up. This is totally recommended so that when you reach a high level point, you can take advantage of the Exp buff from the VIP system.

Normal Leveling Route without VIP System Route

Level 1 to 8: PRONTERA FIELD 08

Starting the same way through the Warper, and in the Leveling Spot 1 to 8 section, it will take you to Prontera Field 08. The point of this section is to obtain a sufficient amount of damage for the next spot.

Level 8 to 18: Payon Field 08

Killing everything there until level 18, staying at the limit of the level range with the Ant Eggs.

Level 18 to 41: Ant Hell 01

This will continue to be a strategic leveling spot, especially in Eternal Mode, where you do not run the risk of losing the character if you do not use Life Insurance. In comparison to the exp from other higher-level mobs, it is the most suitable due to the fixed number of mobs present. Just stay until you reach the required level for the next spot.

Level 41 to 75: Orc Dungeon 01

Second spot with a large number of mobs and easy to kill. Stay here until level 75, when you can start doing the Juno Monster Society Quests.

Level 100 to 275: Hunting Gramps and Illusion Investigation Quest

From this point on, you will not find better places to level than Gramps up to level 275, and the Illusion Quests at least until lvl 200. In this segment of the leveling route, keep in mind that you will need already specialized and advanced equipment to deal the maximum possible damage inside, to increase mob clearing speed and kill as quickly as possible.
